It was a pleasant promise, a compromise that Caleb was happy to hold onto. He gave Essek a soft, small smile. What would become of them if they never found the owner of this heart? He was sure they could leave it somewhere, but perhaps it would be better to keep it until something else happened to it, if they never found the owner.
