Caleb snorted, and smiled at Essek, a small thing that threatened to become so big and bright that it would hurt his face. His eyes were bright, and absolutely adoring. in that moment, as in so many, he loved Essek entirely.
But there was a strange, gently throbbing heart in a box to think of. So Caleb considered it for a moment, looking down at it, and then over to his husband.
"Well, we can just keep talking like we have been," he said with a shrug. "Surely there's nothing sinful about a conversation between husbands while we look for your...recipient. And if anything happens, isn't that the choice of whoever this belongs to?"
